05For New Believers

Graceful Beginnings

A first guide for those beginning their new life in Christ — especially helpful if you do not yet have a church to walk alongside you.

The New Life

What Does It Mean to Be Born Again?

To be born again means to begin a new life as part of God's family. It is the moment you become a child of God, receiving a fresh start through Jesus Christ.

Just as children naturally begin to resemble their parents as they grow, those who are born again will begin to reflect the character of their Heavenly Father. Spiritual growth produces visible evidence — new desires, new habits, and a new way of living.

Daily Devotion

Getting to Know Christ

To grow in your new life, spend time learning about Jesus. We will focus on His life as recorded in the Gospel of Mark. Set aside a few minutes each day to read the assigned verses and reflect on Jesus — His life, His relationships, His teachings, and His heart. As you do, you will understand Him more deeply. He is your Father, and He loves you dearly.

The Promised Messiah

Jesus Christ — The Promised One

Jesus Is Fully Human

Although He is the Son of God, Jesus entered the world as a human being — flesh and blood. He experienced real emotions, real pain, real hunger, and real sorrow.

What do these verses reveal about Jesus' humanity?

Luke 2:52John 11:35Matthew 4:2John 19:28

“For we do not have a high priest incapable of sympathizing with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet without sin.”

Hebrews 4:15

Jesus Is Fully God

The Bible also clearly teaches that Jesus is divine — eternal, powerful, and one with the Father.

What do these verses reveal about Jesus' divinity?

John 1:1–13, 14Colossians 2:9John 10:30Philippians 2:6–16

All evidence points to one truth: Jesus is fully God.

This study is part of renewing your mind with the truth of God's Word.

Communion with God

Prayer

Prayer is one of the greatest privileges we have as God's children. Think about it — the Creator of the universe wants to hear from you. You can call on Him at any hour of any day, and He listens.

God is not concerned with eloquent or fancy words. What matters is a pure, sincere heart.

Daily Bread

Study His Word

The Bible contains everything you need to grow spiritually. As you read, God speaks — revealing His character, His will, and what pleases Him. When you obey His Word, you will grow strong and begin to see positive, lasting change in your life.

Thank you for accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.
